Korean cosmetics manufacturer CROWNCOS is actively addressing counterfeit products and illegal distribution in both domestic and international markets by introducing NEMOIN authentication labels to its eyelash serum brand, Bagel.
CROWNCOS is a specialized cosmetics company that manufactures eyelash extension and treatment materials. Its flagship product, the Bagel Eyelash Serum, is sold through more than 70% of professional beauty shops across Korea, establishing a stable distribution network.
Since 2018, the company has expanded into overseas markets including China, the United States, South America, and Japan, actively increasing its global sales. More recently, CROWNCOS has expanded its product lineup to include mascaras and feminine hygiene products.
The NEMOIN authentication label applied to Bagel products is a technology developed by anti-counterfeiting specialist NEMOIN Insight Co., Ltd. It provides mobile-based product authentication using unique QR codes assigned to each individual item. Consumers can instantly verify product authenticity by scanning the QR code, while the brand can implement more systematic logistics and distribution management based on product- and channel-specific data.
In particular, the labels can be managed at the individual sticker level to distinguish domestic and international distribution and sales channels, making it possible to effectively block abnormal distribution routes outside official retailers. Through this initiative, CROWNCOS aims to proactively address counterfeit distribution that could undermine brand trust, as well as illegal sales that disrupt pricing integrity.
Hong-gyu Yoon, Director of Korean cosmetics manufacturer CROWNCOS, stated, “The primary reason for adopting the NEMOIN authentication label is that it enables precise logistics management by product and distribution channel.” He added, “We plan to continue strict control to block unauthorized distribution channels in advance and to prevent consumer damage caused by low-quality counterfeit products, especially given the functional nature of our products.”
He further noted, “We plan to expand our product lineup into basic skincare and color cosmetics by next year, while further accelerating our expansion into overseas markets. Through the QR-based authentication system, we aim to build a brand environment in which consumers both in Korea and abroad can purchase with confidence.”
With the introduction of authentication labels, Korean cosmetics manufacturer CROWNCOS plans to strengthen not only product quality control but also overall distribution transparency, positioning itself as a trusted beauty brand in the global market.
