Wando-gun has held the “New Year's Day Wando Seafood Promotional Exhibition” at offline stores and online malls in Fence USA for 11 days from February 4th to February 14th.

This event was prepared to expand the overseas market of Wando seafood produced in the clean sea in connection with the US large buyer Fence USA, which has established a long-standing global exchange and cooperation relationship with Wando-gun, and to promote Wando International Seaweed Expo 2022.

Three excellent Wando-gun export companies participated in the promotional exhibition, and the participating companies were Dashimachonbok Fishery Corp, Heungil Foods, and Global Fisheries.

Established in 2004, Dashimachonbok Fishery Corp develops products by carefully selecting comprehensive specialty products from Wando, the island of health, and sells abalone grown by eating only nutritious kelp. The main products are live abalone, frozen abalone, abalone processed food, and abalone red ginseng.
 
Fence USA was established in Los Angeles in 2006 and sells premium agricultural and fishery products made in Korea, with annual sales of about 15 billion won. Last year, during Chuseok, Wando held a seafood promotion exhibition and generated sales of 36,000 dollars.

In addition, in September 2019, it participated in the '2019 Wando-gun US LA Export Consultation' and signed an export contract and business agreement with Dashimachonbok Fishery Corp and Heungil Foods for 1 million  dollors each.

Wando-gun sold 21 items, including frozen abalone, processed abalone, seaweed,  kelp, seaweed salad, and rice, all over the United States through Fence USA last year for a total of about 0,000, despite the Covid 19 crisis.
