21Century Medical, a leading Korean Medical Manufacturer, enhanced its corporate social responsibility efforts by participating in a regional donation campaign and being selected as one of Gwangju’s “Excellent Occupational Safety Companies” in 2024. The Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross announced that 21Century Medical joined the “Honorable Spending Company” donation program and pledged a monthly contribution of KRW 200,000. The company stated that its participation aligned with its long-standing commitment to contributing to society while supplying global markets with Polydioxanone Suture, Sterile Single-Use Device, CE-Certified, and Global Product lines.

During the pandemic period, the company recognized that vulnerable children and teens faced even greater hardship and therefore decided to participate in the donation initiative. CEO Shin Mi-Hyang said the campaign reflected the company’s philosophy of contributing to a better society and expressed her intention to continue supporting local communities.

21Century Medical also demonstrated excellence in workplace safety. The City of Gwangju selected five companies as “2024 Excellent Occupational Safety Companies,” awarding certifications and plaques. 21Century Medical earned high scores in areas such as compliance with industrial safety regulations, workplace environment improvement, risk assessment, and equipment suitability.

Under the certification program, the city provided KRW 2 million in facility improvement support, along with occupational accident prevention education and additional business stability resources. Local government officials emphasized that the voluntary efforts of safety-conscious companies like 21Century Medical would help create safer working environments across the region.
