Proteome Tech, a Korean corona kit manufacturer, is conducting research on developing simultaneous diagnosis of 150 allergy products from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as a project to develop advanced medical device technology that reflects on-site demand. It successfully passed the current stage of research and entered stage 2 of commercialization in 2021.
The project, which will cost a total of 3 billion won in research and development, aims to develop products that can diagnose a total of 150 kinds of allergies at the same time by conducting allergy tests on drugs such as antibiotics that have not yet been loaded.
Allergy is a cultural disease that occurs more often in a hygienic environment. Originally, there is a special antibody IgE that counters parasites, but allergies occur when the immune function is not mature because there is no immunity training for various substances during childhood immunity development.
When this IgE antibody is produced against another substance, when it enters the body, it causes allergic symptoms such as rhinitis, skin disease, asthma, headache, and shortness of breath. Since childhood allergy to food can develop into asthma in adulthood, it is important to investigate the exact cause of the allergy early. This is why many companies are working hard to develop allergy diagnostic kits.
