Naviworks, a company specializing in virtual training, announced that it had won the 'Grand Prize' at the 2020 Korea Software Technology Awards on the '21st Software Industry Day' held at The-K Hotel in Yangjae last December.

Founded in 2000, Naviworks is a defense software developing company that is proving the military use value of artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR). Naviworks, which provides O2O (Offline To Online) services in the fields of virtual reality and smart control, aims to digitally transform our entire lives, including defense/public/general industry/education fields.

‘Real BX (Real Battle eXercise)’, a military tactical training software platform developed by Naviworks, is an immersive training service made with the technology of a Korean IT venture company. It has automated various functions required for virtual training with artificial intelligence, and its biggest feature is that it provides a convenient training environment for customers through streaming control.

It can be said that the localization of these virtual training products is of great significance. This is because, if used in the military in the future, it will be possible to facilitate operation and maintenance in the domestic virtual training market, where foreign solutions are often used, and to minimize the outflow of foreign currency.

In addition, the effect of creating a new business growth engine and corporate competitiveness by accumulating core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution used in the virtual training system is also considered an expectation point.

An official from Naviworks expressed his expectations, saying, “It will lead to the export of services in the field of augmented virtual training with high added value in the future, and become an effective IT export item with global competitiveness by securing a new growth engine.”
