Korean press work system specialized company JDHITEC Co., Ltd., has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' regional specialized project, the ‘Regend 50+ Project’. The Regend 50+ Project is a joint initiative by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and 17 metropolitan governments.

The meaning of Regend 50+ Project combines ‘Regend’, a portmanteau of ‘Region+End’, implying that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will take the lead in revitalizing regional economies by focusing on new industries and technologies and taking responsibility until the end. The ‘50+’ signifies the goal to increase the share of SMEs in the economy to over 50% by 2027.

It reflects the commitment to foster SMEs and small business owners in regions showing a large gap compared to large enterprises, thereby utilizing them as drivers of regional economic activation.

In the case of Incheon, where Korean press work system specialized company JDHITEC Co., Ltd. is located, a total of 47 companies in the mobility sector have been selected for the 2024 Regend 50+ Project to promote the ‘Mobility New Technology Transformation Support Project’.

These companies are dedicated to fields such as logistics robots, autonomous driving robots, and mobility’s materials, components and equipment. Incheon has designated these industries as specialized sectors and plans to support them to transform into a future mobility industry.

Participating companies, including JDHITEC Co., Ltd., Korean press work system specialized company, can apply for projects in five areas over the next three years: innovation vouchers, export vouchers, policy funds, entrepreneurship-focused universities, and smart factory construction. They can receive support totaling 30 billion KRW after evaluation.

Based on its parts production technology, the company has developed and patented a multi-lock and damper function one-touch opening and closing device for electric vehicle cigar jacks and is proceeding with deliveries.

Through this project, the company plans to produce prototypes that can be applied to other vehicle models.

Success in prototype production could lead to increased sales by producing parts compatible with various vehicle models and expanding into the overseas market by supplying to foreign automobile companies.

Moreover, JDHITEC Co., Ltd. was established in 1991 and is a Korean press work system specialized company.

Over the years, JDHITEC Co., Ltd. has participated in developing push latches for Samsung Electronics' system air conditioners and Hyundai Motor’s console cover push latches.

The company has distinguished itself in the field of materials, parts, and equipment by obtaining a certification as a specialized enterprise, receiving the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award, and being awarded certificate from the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. The company plans to further dedicate itself to technological development by participating in the Regend 50+ Project.
