Hankook C&S was established in 1978 and has focused on chemical products for more than 40 years. We asked Na Yong-beom, CEO of Hankook C&S, a chemical product manufacturing company that manufactures and sells tire release agents and special paints, about the secret of the company's longevity.

The secret to having exclusive technology that can compete for the world's first and second place is technology, and there are outstanding talents behind Hankook C&S' excellent technology.” said.

Hankook C&S developed tire mold patterning rubber, an industrial liquid rubber, in the early 2000s. This is the only one in Korea, and there is only one competitor globally. It is evaluated as having great competitiveness as it possesses original technology for products that go into all processes of tire production. Hankook C&S is currently exporting to China, Taiwan, Romania, etc., and its technology has begun to be recognized in the world. In order to expand its influence on the global stage, it has entered the European and Indian markets and is undergoing testing by local companies.

As the only company in Korea that has original technology related to tire production, it has a reputation as a company that is immersed in technology development and research. Half of the research personnel at Hankook C&S, a Korean chemical production company, are expert seniors and the other half are junior in their 30s and 40s. Hankook C&S striving to develop new products by combining the experience and know-how of senior researchers with the ideas and development drive of the younger generation. CEO Na Yong-beom said, “The company has been able to grow over the past 40 years thanks to steady investments in technology and human resources, which are our strengths.”

CEO Na's ultimate goal is to make Hankook C&S a hidden champion. A hidden champion is a term that refers to a small but strong company that is not well known to the public but dominates the global market based on its own specialized competitiveness in the specialized field.

The goal of becoming a hidden champion coincides with the goal set by Na Ki-soo, the father of CEO Na Yong-beom, who was the first CEO. In order to follow his father's will and realize his dream, CEO Na said that Hankook C&S is laying the groundwork to become competitive on the world stage.
