The Korea Meat Processing Association (Chairman : Park Gil-yeon, hereinafter referred to as the Association) held a 2021 regular general meeting in the conference room of the Association in Sadang-dong, Seoul on the 23rd, and they deliberated and decided on business plan, budget, and the composition of executives for this year.

The association is planning on conducting projects with the goal of increasing the consumption of processed meat products, which is 5.6 kg per person as of last year, to 6.4 kg by 2025. For these projects, the association will hold the 9th Best Meat Processed Product Contest, and support the selection of excellent stores in the instant meat processing industry in cooperation with Consumer Organizations. In addition, the association will strive to improve manufacturing and distribution standards, such as improving livestock standards and strengthening refrigerated delivery temperature management.
