At the Chungnam Women Entrepreneurs Conference, hosted by the Sejong-Chungnam Chapter of the Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association (KWBIZ) in celebration of Women Entrepreneurs Week, a Korea semiconductor equipment company SPS Global was honored with a commendation from the Commissioner of the National Tax Service. Women Entrepreneurs Week is a legally designated period held annually during the first week of July under the Act on Support for Female-Owned Businesses. It is the largest event in the women entrepreneur community, aimed at raising public awareness of the contributions of women-led companies to Korea’s economic development and promoting pride among women entrepreneurs.

The theme of the 2nd Women Entrepreneurs Week was “A New Future, Women Entrepreneurs Rising Together,” reflecting the ambition for women-led businesses to unite, nurture future women entrepreneurs, and become key players in Korea’s economic landscape. The conference, attended by a Korea semiconductor equipment company SPS Global, featured a keynote lecture by the Vice President of Soonchunhyang University, followed by an awards ceremony for outstanding women entrepreneurs, a promotional booth showcasing women-led business products, and a banquet. The event was attended by over 200 participants, including major figures such as Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungcheongnam-do.

In her welcome speech, Joo Hee-jung, Chairperson of the Sejong-Chungnam Chapter of the KWBIZ, which hosted the event, stated, “We hope this event will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of women entrepreneurs, support startups, and create jobs. It is also intended to promote outstanding products from women-led businesses and help expand their market reach. Additionally, we aim to encourage public institutions to prioritize purchases from women-owned companies, seek improvements in tax benefits and financial support, and enhance cooperation with related organizations.”
