Air cushion packaging has been widely used around the world since the 1970s due to its ease of use and lightweight properties. Its applications have continued to expand across a wide range of industries, from small items to heavy-duty products.

DAHO P&C, a Korean packaging materials manufacturer, produces “Double Air Cap Bubble Wrap,” a heavy-duty packaging material with enhanced shock absorption, using Korea’s first 5-layer production equipment. Featuring a dual-bubble structure, the Double Air Cap is used to package automotive exterior panels, bumpers, and other components, contributing to the overseas export of automotive parts.

DAHO P&C, a Korean packaging materials manufacturer, has also developed recyclable hexagon-shaped air cushion packaging for heavy products and supplies it as packaging material for automotive wheels. The densely arranged bubbles of the Hexagon Air Cap make it suitable for packaging medium- to heavy-weight products.

Conventional air cushion packaging is manufactured by extruding PE film, forming raised air bubbles through vacuum suction, and heat-sealing an additional layer of PE film to the back. Air cushion packaging for automotive parts combines air cushion material with shrink film and uses heat shrinkage at a controlled temperature to secure, protect, and cushion each product.
