DM Technology, a Korean gantry robot manufacturer, recently introduced gantry robot system and linear motor at ‘Smart Factory + Automation World 2021’.

 
‘Smart Factory + Automation World 2021’ is the largest smart factory and automation industry exhibition in Asia recently held at COEX, Seoul.

The gantry robot system introduced by DM Technology has a double-arm structure that can work from both left and right sides. In addition, the gantry robot system has an integrated structure of gantry + loading stand + controller, so it can be moved and reinstalled easily whenever the working environment changes.

 
In particular, the loading table consists of three types : a circular loading one, a two-row shift loading one, and a part-feeder loading one, which can be changed according to the processing characteristics. The moving speed of the gantry robot is 3m/sec, and a high-precision movement of ±0.1mm is possible.

 
The linear motor is a self-developed product and features a non-magnetic stator. In a typical linear motor, the stator is magnetic. Therefore, the disadvantage is that the unit price is high, but DM Technology lowered the unit cost by applying a stator without magnetic force.

The high-speed and precision linear motor can be applied to orthogonal robots, gantry robots, and general industrial environments by simplifying complex mechanical structures. In addition, it is suitable for clean rooms such as semiconductor and battery production environments because it is a non-contact drive without a power converter, and there is no wear and dust generation.

 
This exhibition, co-hosted by Advanced Technology, Korea Industrial Intelligence Association, Korea Machine Vision Industry Association, and COEX, is under the theme of 'The Future of Digital New Deal', with about 500 smart factories, machine vision and automation companies.
