Korean press work system specialized company, JDHITEC Co., Ltd., has participated in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 2022 'Smart Factory Construction Support Project For A Large And Small Win-Win' to build a smart factory with Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO).
The Smart Factory Construction Support Project For A Large And Small Win-Win, in which Korean press work system specialized company JDHITEC Co., Ltd. is participating, is part of the 'ICT Convergence Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Support Project'.
This Smart Factory Construction Support Project, that began in 2018 is a public-private partnership in which the government supports a portion of the construction costs if the private sector (hosting organization and introduction enterprises) collaborates to build a smart factory, aiming to foster the growing together large and small-medium enterprises.
In 2021, nine large companies, including Samsung, Hyundai Motor Group, and POSCO, as well as 23 public institutions such as Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) and KEPCO, participated, contributing a total of 27 billion KRW to support the establishment of smart factories for around 1,000 companies.
As a result, productivity and quality in manufacturing sites improved, costs were reduced, and the manufacturing competitiveness of SMEs was enhanced. Consequently, employment and sales increased while industrial accidents decreased.
