INEM was selected as an excellent case in the 'Smart Factory Construction Support Project' hosted by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. A smart factory means a factory equipped with a system that maximizes efficiency by integrating all production processes from product planning to sales through information and communication technology.

The main purpose of this project is to build a smart factory by using the installation of competitive SMEs for factory facilities, and was conducted with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry.

Total of KRW 312.5 billion was invested for this project, and INEM was recognized for its product competitiveness and contribution, making a good result competing with other companies.

Founded in 2007, is a company that specializes in manufacturing rubber products that meet customer needs based on its independently developed high-functional rubber material blending technology. It manufactures O-rings, diaphragms, and gaskets, and has been recognized for its product capabilities through collaboration with leading public companies and large companies.

In fact, as a result of being put into extreme environments such as nuclear power plants, industrial machinery, heavy equipment, and defense industry companies, it proved itself better quality than products imported from major manufacturing companies from Japan, Germany, and the United States. Nevertheless, it is dragging attention from many customers for a price that is more than 40% cheaper than imported products.

In particular, despite the harsh industrial environment in the domestic rubber material sector in 2017, it took its first step as an exporter by exporting to Germany where is usually described as a ‘manufacturing powerhouse.’

Currently, it exports rubber equipment to Germany and Canada, and is showing active movement in the global market by registering as a supplier to companies in the UK, Finland and the Philippines.

An official in INEM said, “I am happy to be recognized for the quality of INEM's rubber parts in the national project.” I hope this will be activated.”
